Thursday May 28, 2026 - 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Friday May 29, 2026 - 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Saturday May 30, 2026 - 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
PLEASE NOTE: Trash Days will be held at 123 Gros Boulevard, East Herkimer. Tires must be paid for prior to Trash Day drop off. Residents will receive a Tire Voucher to turn in at the time of drop off. Tire Vouchers can be purchased at the Herkimer Town Office Building at 114 N. Prospect Street, Herkimer. Tire Vouchers can only be purchased Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 AM to 3:45 PM and Thursday 9:00 AM to 1:15 PM from Monday May 18th until Friday May 29th. Please note the Town Office Building will be closed Friday May 22nd and Monday May 25th due to Memorial Day. Please contact the Herkimer Town Clerk if you have any questions at 315-866-2690 Ext. 3
The following fees will apply for each tire:
Car: $5.00
Light Truck: $7.00
Dump Truck: $18.00
Dump truck Floater: $25.00
Small Tractor: $35.00
Medium Tractor: $50.00
Loader: $300.00
Rules for Trash drop-off: (Be prepared to unload your own trash)
- Trash needs to be dropped off at the Town of Herkimer Highway Garage located
across from the NYS Police Barracks. The address is 123 Gros Boulevard, East Herkimer.
- Open to "ALL" Town of Herkimer residents.
- All steel items such as bed springs are accepted, as well as sofas, chairs and all
House Hold items.
- Batteries ARE accepted. (ABSOLUTELY NO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS)
- NO paints, construction debris/material.
- NO private contractors or commercial drops.
- NO recyclables accepted.
- Limit- 2 loads only.
- Propane tanks WILL NOT be accepted.
- PLEASE NOTE: CPU monitors, laptops, fax machines, etc. need to be separated. There will be a container available especially for those types of items.
- PLEASE NOTE: Large plastic items MUST be separated.
- Shred truck will be available for Personal Documents Only on Saturday, October 11th from 9 to Noon.
