The highway department road crew works under the extreme winter weather conditions to keep the 47 miles of roads (24 County Highway and 23 Town Roads) within the town cleared and safe.
The Highway Department also maintains Town roads and highways the rest of the year and assist residents with town trash days and green waste pick-ups. See the events section for the schedule or contact the Department at 315-866-1803.
The Town of Herkimer Spring Trash Days will be Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th from 6:00AM to 4:00PM and Saturday, May 18th from 7:00AM to Noon.
The Town of Herkimer Fall Trash Days will be Thursday, October 17th and Friday, October 18th from 6:00AM to 4:00PM and Saturday, October 19th from 7:00AM to Noon.
